What's the difference between Natal Chart and Year Ahead Astrology readings?

My Astrology Readings largely come in two forms- Natal Chart Readings and Year Ahead Forecasts. A Natal Chart is a snapshot of what the sky looked like at the exact moment you were born. It can help show you facets of your character, how you show up in the world, where your talents lie and where you have room for growth, what you might struggle with and where you can heal, insights into your purpose and career, relationships, and so much more. It can be extremely enlightening and validating. From this, forecasts can be made for what you may experience in the year ahead or themes of focus based on which Planets in the current sky will be in relationship to your Natal Planets and where, among other Traditional timing techniques. It is recommended to first have an understanding of your Natal Chart and then proceed with a Year Ahead Forecast, but this is not necessary.

Can Astrology predict my future?

Not with absolute certainty. We are inextricably linked in an unfathomably large cosmic web in which minute changes, decisions, and occurrences can drastically alter the course of events. Further, we all hold free will and can choose what to do with the insight Astrology gives us in each moment. What these methods can give you, however, is an awareness of the current energies potentially surrounding you, everything exists on a spectrum- it is up to you how to harness it (or not). By seeing things from a certain perspective and by being armed with the knowledge of a certain Astrological transit, we can make more informed and aligned decisions to move forward with trust and ease in our lives.

What if my reading tells me something bad?

Each placement and transit holds room for growth and learning. That doesn’t mean everything will necessarily be easy, but by moving in flow with your Natal promise, we can harness each experience as an opportunity rather than a struggle. There are no "bad" placements, some are more challenging for sure but everything is a potential. My readings are given with the aim of empowerment and agency.

At the end of every reading, you will hopefully feel a sense of trust and comfort in your path, however far along it you may be.

What type of Astrology do you use?

I practice Traditional "Western" Astrology using the Tropical Zodiac and Whole Signs House system. I consider the modern Planets Natally if they are prominently placed as well as in transits. While my approach is Traditional, my philosophy is modern in that I believe we have the capacity of free will (to the extent that it is possible).

I deliver each reading in a direct, non-judgemental way, my style has frequently been called "powerful yet gentle". There are no general platitudes here and nothing is sugarcoated, but it is expressed in a way that is palatable and digestible, making it easier to swallow.

Additionally, this is all viewed through the lens of my own perception. You are always free to take what resonates and leave what doesn't.
